AIRWORK ACADEMY

Airwork has always been attentive to people, to the future and especially to young people.

Airwork Academy is a project that makes us very proud and that we carried on with enthusiasm for several years, from the 2012 in collaboration with the Consorzio Desio-Brianza.

The Consorzio Desio-Brianza, a fundamental point of reference for the territory, is a public entity that deals with vocational training, guidance and work services, including those for people with disabilities.

Airwork Academy consists in a period of “learning in a working situation“. In other words, it consists in the training in a working context through internships, curricular placements, work-school alternation, of young high school students. Students spend a period in the company which varies depending on the schools, from one or more months (in the office or warehouse) supported by the resources of the company and through practical experience seek to consolidate the knowledge acquired at school and to test their attitudes in the field.

The main objectives of this collaboration are:

>> Bringing students closer to the work environment

>> Transfer of technical skills to pupils through the support of the company’s specialised staff

>> Support the guidance of young people by enhancing their abilities and interests

>> Providing quality technical training

>> Promote relations between training institutions and the work environment, thus bridging the gap between them and making young people more flexible in their working lives

>> Create a direct relationship between the territory and the enterprises

For young students, therefore, it is a first and true work experience that not only allows them to put into practice what they have studied in school and books, but to learn and acquire new practical skills and face the working environment. It is also a way for them to understand what they really want to “do when they grow up” and thus orient their course of study, testing themselves on practical working life.

This project also brings many advantages to the companies participating in it, such as an easier finding of the professionals they are looking for, a faster integration of new generations in the work environment, identification of resources with skills already trained and already used to interface with a company.

It is for all these reasons that Airwork continues to promote this project with pride and enthusiasm and recommends it to other companies, promoting its social role and its commitment to the formation of new generations.

This is our commitment and how we decided to take care of the future, through our young and future “Airworkers”!
